AVAYA IPOCC IP OFFICE CONTACT CENTER BACK UP & RESTORE – Part 2Step 2 of 3 – Configuration and performing the Backup
Right click on databases and select “Backup entire database”
Next select the loaction and the name of your backup file:
Choose the option “Explicit dump device
In the textbox “Physical path” enter the complete path to the backup loaction PLUS the name of the backup file.
A suggestion for the file extension is to use .dat
Click on OK
Confirm the next options by clicking on OK or continue. (The performance option and the optional backup name)
The backup process will start immediately. Review the messages and wait for the information: “Dump is complete”
Step 3 of 3 – Configuration and performing the Restore
– Check if the sybase service is running (Windows Task Manager)
– Stop the IPOCC Watchdog service. The Contact Center must be stopped!
Start “Sybase Central” from the start menu and connect with the “sa” user. This is the same procedure like in the backup.
Chose the option: “Restore the entire database”
In the next dialogue enter location and name of the backup file you want to restore:
Watch the restore progess. During the process notice these informations (Some information will vary because you may have chosen other names and locations.):
